St. Margaret’s teacher Deochand Bridgemohan inpires his students to live with character to build a foundation for their success.

@Magnificent Margaret’s, St. Margaret’s Primary we met with the HM Sunita Durgah and educator Deochand Bridgemohan an advocate for the Six Pillars of Character that provides an ethical framework that shapes individuals into compassionate, responsible, and contributing members of society. As with most schools there are teachers who find it easy to integrate the program in their curriculum while others find it challenging. This is understandable, most of our teachers were not taught to teach these skills. It is admirable to find teachers who recognize the need and teach essential like skills and are giving it their all to nurture children into dependable adults. Magnificent Margaret’s teachers understand this as evidenced by an essay from student Nathan Parsram, a Grade 4 student who wrote about his responsibility for taking care of his younger sibling when she started at St/ Margaret’s. Nathan along with Samara Whyte also from Grade 4 wrote about the importance of being trustworthy. Congrats to their teachers for encouraging these students to live these character skills. Both Nathan and Samara were honored with Character Champion Certificates. Thank you educators. Well done!
