“Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our manners.” – Laurence Sterne

In March, 26 educators and Principals from two schools joined GUTSY trainers in a workshop on Civility. The participating schools were:  Mashabo Primary School located in an indigenous Amerindian community inland from the Essequibo Coast and Providence Primary School located on the East Bank of the Demerara River

The Workshop agenda included understanding civility, recognizing uncivil and disruptive behavior in the classroom, strengthening civil behavior, and a discussion on how to deal with disruptive behavior in class.

GUTSY is a Not for Profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to coach and mentor children in Guyana to develop conduct and behavior that enable them to grow into responsible adults.

Thank you to our workshop training team: Carla Meertens, Dr. Ruth Cummings, Ian Hendricks, Isolese Ross, Dr. Rose October, and Janice Hall.
