Azalia is our April CHARACTER champion.

April’s CHARACTER focus was Responsibility, and Azalia showed what responsibility can look like in a real moment.

In her composition, she wrote about a situation at home where she had a choice. She could stay silent while her sibling was wrongly blamed, or she could take responsibility for her mistake.

Azalia chose to do the right thing.

That kind of honesty and courage is exactly why We Are GUTSY, Inc. created the CHARACTER Champions initiative. These lessons are not just about words. They are about helping students recognize the choices they make every day and the impact those choices have on the people around them.
